The HSE Sr. Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategy, ensuring compliance with local regulations, international standards, and company policies. This role plays a critical part in promoting a safe and sustainable work environment, mitigating operational risks, and driving continuous improvement across all operations, particularly within industrial and cement manufacturing environments.
The HSE Sr. Manager will work closely with senior management and plant leadership teams to strengthen safety culture, improve operational safety performance, and minimize workplace incidents while ensuring the protection of employees, assets, and the environment.
• Lead and execute the company’s HSE strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and operational goals.
• Establish HSE objectives, KPIs, and improvement plans while ensuring effective implementation across all sites.
• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, technical instructions, and operational guidelines.
• Act as the main HSE advisor to plant management by identifying safety gaps and recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure full compliance with local regulations, governmental requirements, and international HSE standards, including ISO standards.
• Support plant operations with the implementation of HSE initiatives, risk assessments, and corrective action plans.
• Lead and manage safety management systems and related HSE programs across all operations.
• Design and implement plant-based safety training and awareness programs tailored to operational risks and business needs.
• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and analysis of operational activities to minimize workplace risks.
• Monitor and evaluate induction safety programs for employees and contractors to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
• Conduct and coordinate internal and external HSE audits to evaluate performance and ensure continuous improvement.
• Ensure all HSE documentation, records, and reports are properly maintained and updated.
• Support new projects and change management activities by providing technical HSE expertise and guidance.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and non-conformities, identify root causes, and implement preventive and corrective actions.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives across all company operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant HSE experience within industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience with ISO standards and regulatory reporting systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
• Experience in cement manufacturing or heavy industry is highly preferred.
• Very good command of English.
