The Mechanical Section Head is responsible for ensuring the safe maintenance, repair, and replacement of plant mechanical equipment and systems to maximize production quantity and quality, while supporting the company’s policies, goals, and objectives.
Oversee the execution and quality of mechanical maintenance work carried out on plant equipment within the approved budget, policies, and timelines.
Analyze maintenance data to identify root causes of chronic breakdowns and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and optimize maintenance costs.
Develop, implement, and manage the plant maintenance schedule based on best practices in the cement industry, with a strong focus on preventive and predictive maintenance.
Continuously review plant equipment performance to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and resolve problems promptly, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Enforce safety procedures within the maintenance department and review safety records to ensure compliance with the highest safety standards.
Lead, coach, and develop maintenance engineers and technicians to enhance performance and technical capabilities.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide technical recommendations and reports to the Mechanical Maintenance Manager.
Ensure effective coordination with other departments (Production, Electrical, Planning) to support uninterrupted plant operations.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Minimum 8 years of experience in maintenance and repair of cement manufacturing equipment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid knowledge of maintenance planning systems and safety regulations.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Very good command of English.
