Mill Operator

Job Summary:

Ensure the effective implementation of the production plan by operating equipment efficiently, achieving the required productivity levels, and maintaining product quality in line with the specified standards. This includes minimizing fuel and energy consumption while securing the continuous availability of kiln and grinding materials.

Responsibilities:

·       Ensure efficient operation of all production equipment, optimizing the use of raw materials, fuel, and energy.

·       Monitor key process variables (pressure, temperature, draft, etc.) and adjust parameters to maintain stable and safe operating conditions.

·       Oversee the movement of materials—from raw material formation at the crusher and raw mill to clinker processing at the cement mill—and ensure smooth transfer to silos and packing.

·       Maximize equipment productivity by achieving target output levels while minimizing downtime and operational interruptions.

·       Ensure product quality by monitoring process parameters and verifying compliance with laboratory analysis and required specifications.

·       Perform routine equipment inspections, carry out minor maintenance tasks, and report abnormalities or malfunctions promptly.

·       Maintain accurate production logs, operational data, and material usage records.

·       Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to resolve issues, support troubleshooting, and improve operational performance.

·       Ensure adherence to all occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations within the work area.

·       Support the training and development of staff by sharing experience, providing guidance, and enhancing team capabilities.

·       Perform other duties assigned by the direct manager as needed.

Qualifications and Required Skills:

·       B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or a related field.

·       Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

·       Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Mill CCR operation is a must.

·       Leadership ability and strong management skills.

·       Knowledge of safety policies and regulation.

·       Very Good Command of English.

·       Creativity and an ability to think out of the box.
